This place is very nice very quiet very peaceful and very relaxing to visit. In the back there's a lot of areas you can play sports in and very safe. There are places you can walk your dogs here. Or just sit in your car and relax enjoy The View. Got to walk across the street to the beach so watch for traffic be careful. The beach is beautiful very relaxing people are respectful and there's a lifeguard to her right there. I enjoyed this place very much. The only thing is there's not enough showers there's only one or many people. I think they need to make more and it's over there by the bathroom. I think the area around the bathroom and inside the bathrooms need to be cleaner. Other than that I enjoy this place very much.

The dog park is mostly sand which didn’t bother me or my dogs. There is a separate large and small dog areas. They enjoyed it. Plenty of parking. Trails and a boardwalk to meander along. Nice playground for the kiddos. Beach is right across the street and is a very quiet stretch with no cars on the beach.

This is a very nice place to go especially if you have dogs! Yupp! I said DOGS! There are actually TWO dog parks - one for big and one for little dogs! (I own cats, not dogs, but think this is a great idea!) There is a beautiful children's park with equipment that takes into consideration, children with disabilities. There are also ball fields, basketball courts, and I believe a wall to hit tennis balls and handball? The parking area overlook shares a GORGEOUS VIEW of the ocean and there is a gazebo further up the hill that offers yet a nicer view. I gave this a 4-star only because I WISH they would PLEASE FIX THE WATER FOUNTAINS! I walk there every day and wish those worked properly for a nice drink before heading back to my house, 1 1/2 miles away...

Plenty of free parking and walk way to access the beach. A blinking light to cross the street. A outside shower, feet wash, public bathrooms and picnic tables to eat at with outside grills.A small board walk that is built for handicap. Proboly not easy to push a wheelchair on the beach but you could look down and maybe take pics near the beach.. Even a life guard station on the beach.. Also a nature walk by the bathrooms.

No, unfortunately.
Yep been going there for over 20 years. There is definitely a fishing dock on the John Anderson side . I have caught fish off it before. The trail to it starts behind the baseball diamond. There is another trail that dead ends into that one. Starts on the tennis court side.
Riverfront boardwalk, as in description, would be rear park - must walk alongside outter field to the baseball field diamond - you'll see one of two tree archways that'll take you on foot/bike path to John Anderson Drive - there are two entrances - you'll see doggy bag dispensers before entering, too.
Almost at any beach without a lifeguard
I am pretty sure there is an area for that
Model rocketry is a legal activity with only four states regulating the use of them. Florida is not one of them. However you may want to check with volusia county. In my experience I have not seen any rockets used at the park. I would just be safe and cautious because there is a lot of bushes and grass that could potentially catch fire.
You can't camp overnight at this park.
I'm sure if your at the waters edge with your dog and it's safe, if he decides to get in the water, I'm sure it would be fine. Just keep it clean please, for your next visit and mine
How can you keep dogs off a beach??? Not all people let their dogs go to the bathroom without picking it up so for the few idiots that did the people of Ormond Beach area have to travel outside of city limits just to bring your dog to a beach....wish I knew that before I moved here!!!!
I'm going to say that is too big because the spaces won't accommodate it safely.
No sorry
Over night staying in this park is prohibited
It's always been Bicentennial Park. A few years back they added Michael Crotty in front of it. He was a local lawyer that was killed in a car accident if my memory serves me correct.
