Counterfeit: used item advertised as factory refurbished I purchased an APC SMART-UPS from this vendor through Newegg. It was advertised as "APC Authorized Factory Refurbished"; advertised to contain "Brand new APC approved batteries"; and advertised to have a 2-year warranty. The unit I received had a lot of physical blemishes, an internal cable with damaged sheathing (and conductors showing), damaged internal brackets for the front bezel, and a non-OEM battery. I contacted the manufacturer to perform a query on the serial number and the support rep informed me that the unit was not factory refurbished, that it was manufactured in 2012, and that the unit is out of warranty (obviously). I can tell you that given its condition, it certainly would not pass APC’s quality checks for refurbishment. Shame on you.
