The Hindu receptionists there discriminated against my family and I. We booked online, and they told us at the front that they only took credit cards and no debit or cash. This is not true as we checked with a guest. That was really outrageous to happen in Oakland CA.

Easy access to the Amtrak station. Less than 10 minutes if uber is available. Clean room and just good enough for over night.

I wouldnt see why not. This hotel is on a busy street in a higher crime area. Its is quiet here for the most part. So if you're just having someone over for a while it should be fine. As long as it's not a party, parking is very limited and staff has view of cars that are in and out.
