One of the BEST koa’s we’ve stayed at! We are from New Mexico, and have been too a lot, and this is was an awesome experience. Great staff. Beautiful grounds. So happy, thank you!!

Small, clean KOA. The premium pull-thru spots are pretty nice with concrete pads and patio areas. The lake is nice, but no activities were available during our stay as the level was still kinda low. Definitely will come back whenever we head up to Starkville

No plans to come back here ever again unless there’s some major changes. The sites are very close together. Upon arrival we had to clean up limbs and sticks just to get backed in. The fire pit was full of wet leaves and standing water. The grass surrounding the site was like a sponge. We very quickly realized the Wi-Fi is nonexistent. Our devices wouldn’t even give us an option to sign into it so I’m not sure if there even was Wi-Fi. After two days it began to rain and we realized the place is a swamp! There’s only 4 or 5 “deluxe” sites with concrete pads, patio furniture and grill. They seemed nice. Of course through no fault of their own the lake is dried up and not aesthetically pleasing. The website is extremely misleading about this aspect. What I will say is positive about the location is that the bath house and laundry facility were very nice and appeared to be new. Also the area is quiet, off the main road and close to town.

We had a great site with a large patio and fire ring that was very easy to get in but a little challenging to pull out on departure day. Lots of directional signs a little too close to the narrow road turned into extra obstacles to navigate around. The lake is still drained due to issues with the dam.

Does this campground have a senior citizen discount?

Don't know for sure. Beware that the lake is being drained to fix the levee so if you planned on doing anything with the water it is out.

Is there running water at the sites?

Yes, there was a water spigot at our tent site and nice bathrooms and individual showers close too.
