First, I'd like to point out that service wasn't an issue with either desk clerk. They were great. The MAJOR issue is cleanliness! Our sheets were not changed from the last guest. They were stained, full of loose hairs, and looked like there was still a head print in the pillow so I had to go get and change out our fitted sheets when I should've just gotten a refund!. The microwave was filthy, dusty, and had been burned. The refrigerator was filthy with ice buildup and an old frozen bottle in it with other observable stains and Moldy windows. There was no tissue on the roll, no face, hand or bath mat towels so we had to go ask for some, and the table had residue on it. Fortunately, I pack lysol wipes and spray so I ended up having to clean up myself. I absolutely did not put any of our items on that floor for obvious reasons. I saw one insect but I dont think it was a roach. Not really sure..... There were other signs of wear like paint peeling, poorly constructed building, cheap furniture, sealant separating from wall and tub, and rust but those weren't deal breakers for me. The pool ladder step was broken and I was concerned that there were NO donuts/floats out at the pool. Every pool that I've gone to had some sort of float, donut, or life vest hanging up in case of emergencies. That was to be expected from Microtel however, having dirty sheets, stains, dust, and filthy appliances were not. As stated earlier, staff wasn't an issue, the water was hot, and the breakfast was decent. We really just wanted clean sheets and towels! The pics dont do it justice. Some of the hair didnt show up well but each pic is of both beds with hair. I did even take pics of some the hair at the foot of the beds.

The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the beds. The mattress is very springy and you can feel the springs when sitting or laying on it. Mattress toppers would be a huge benefit if they would do it. Otherwise, breakfast was good, the usual cereal, bagels, yogurt, etc. But also waffles and sausage biscuits. It was quiet even though there was a lot of kids here due to a school event in town. Right on the highway just down from Mississippi State University. Lots of restaurants within 2 miles.

Very disappointed in the hotel. The staff was nice but that was all. I booked 2 rooms weeks in advance but we still wound up on separate floors. The rooms are looking rough and need repairs. One room had hair in the sink, broken faucet, broken toilet seat and the deadbolt wouldn't work. The sheets were worn out. THE POOL WAS EMPTY.

Absolutely terrible…. DO NOT RECOMMEND. One bed had textured stains on the sheets. The other bed also looked like sheets had not been changed due to one side having many more wrinkles than the other side. Floors were DISGUSTING with trash, hair balls, crumbs, and who knows what else…. Shower did not drain. Dust everywhere. Mirrors were filthy. Countertops were sticky.
