I agree with all these reviews. Monica lacks customer service skills, cultural competency, and accountability. The fact her supervisor condones this before says much about USPS.

I went to the Post Office (11431 Amherst Ave) today (10/3 around 9:05am) to mail back a medical device. I had a premade shipping label, but went to the line to ask for a receipt to confirm that I dropped it off. This location was having people just place packages on the desk and I did not feel comfortable doing this since this item is critical to me working through some current health concerns. When I get to the front of the line I say hello. I begin to tell her what I need, but she cuts me off to say “You can put that over there.” I let her know that I came up here to ask a question and she responds “Ask your question then.” I respond by asking if it was possible to get a receipt for the item I was dropping off and she said “Not while I’m running this line by myself.” I was one of two customers in the store because I came in at about 9:05. I told her that I don’t understand why she is always so rude and she said “You asked a question, I answered it.” I asked for her name, which is Monica. Monica has been rude to me during multiple visits. I even wrote a review about my last visit which I included below. I did not feel comfortable leaving my item with her so I left and went to the Post Office at 110 University Blvd. When I arrived, it was very busy but I waited in line. When I got to the front, I asked the employee, Taylor, if I could get a receipt for my items and he did it with no hesitation. It took less than ten seconds for him to scan my item and print a receipt. I write all of this to say that I believe that Monica needs to be held accountable for the terrible service she is offering. I do not understand why she is rude every time I visit that location. I want to frequent this location because it is walking distance from my apartment. However, I will be going to University Blvd going forward because I will not be disrespected any longer. I hope this review helps drive accountability for this employee. Review from 3 Months Ago: I received terrible service here. They opened late today and the lady at the counter had a very bad attitude. She waited until I begin closing my envelope to tell me Im not supposed to lick it and then refused to take it after I waited almost 30 minutes in line. Horrible experience. Pick any other location if you can.

Wow. This has the most miserable, unpleasant employees of any USPS I've ever gone to. Yikes. There is no automated postage purchase options and staff will spend more time and energy being combative and condescending then actually helping anyone. Avoid this location at all costs.

Was at this post office today to mail a letter with tracking when the woman behind the counter blatantly lied to me about the options for getting tracking on a letter. I was able to quickly search online to determine that she was full of it. If you go to this location expect to get yelled at, sass and absolutely no help. OIG should investigate this location ASAP for government resources abuse. Note to self- file that report now.
