MEMBER ONLY! Even though I could not get in this park is not worth the membership. There are only 4 parking spots everywhere else is a tow away zone, and one handicap space. The park is very small With no obstacles for the dogs. I've been to many parks that were much better and were open to the public.

I have gone to the park on three different occasions and my disappointment is very overwhelming. The first reason that most would agree with, or so I think. The park is divided into; large and small dog areas and for a very good reason. On day one the large dog area was under renovation, nice to see right? However, this lead the large dog owners to simply pick up and take over the small dog park. Then my second trip to the dog park, by the way is not free. Again large dogs in the small dog area, so I simply left with my five pound puppy. Because out of curiosity they were their first. My third and final visit to this dog park. Great no one is here, what a fantastic time to let me new puppy get adjusted to the area before the others gather to play. Not the case at all once again a rude nasty man in a black BMW showed up with is large dog and right to the small dog area he came. Nevertheless, dog not leashed and charging at me not aggressively. Again my five pound dogs first time at a park. They man not (gentleman) was rude and nasty when I explained it was my dogs first time at the park and not adjusted to large dogs. Very unpleasant anyway! The office by the park was informed and could do nothing about it. My advice build your on puppy run and tell Gateway CDD no rules apply.

Our pup loves this park! It has picnic tables, chairs, and a canopy built very solid. We especially like that there are two separate sections; big dogs and small dogs. The cost is very reasonable for Gateway residents. There is also water provided for the dogs, and plenty of balls and frisbees. Great place to tire out our pet.

Gateway Dog Park is a controlled access park. Individuals wishing to enter the park are required to register their dogs with the Gateway Services Community Development District, and show proof of vaccinations. A registration fee is required to obtain a key card. A recent renovation has improved the park. There is ample space for both large and small dogs to run and play with balls and frisbees.
