Mayport Naval Base is located on a peninsula in northern Florida, east of the city of Jacksonville on the Atlantic coast. The base serves as a permanent berth for US Navy ships and for the repair of naval units. The base is beautifully designed, offers many parks and a variety of leisure activities, as one is used to from American bases. These include several restaurants, a golf course and good shopping opportunities. The base includes a military airfield for naval aircraft.

I lived in the area from 1989-2007, so coming back on vacation & staying at one of the RV pks. or in a cabin, is always Coming Home for me! There’s no place I’d rather vacation!!!

My granddaughter lives here so of course it's amazing, beautiful scenery!!!

I enjoy visiting the news to see my peeps. It's always quite welcoming and friendly. And I can't help but always feeling safe. No matter what, I feel secure at all the times. I suppose that could be quite obvious. The service level on base is great. The people are friendly and they is so much to do... Like get beach wasted.

Respective command or go to building one
There is a PX, but it is not located on base. The exchange is located off the Mayport Base, on Mayport Road, just a couple miles away from the base gate.
After all debris has been cleared and a damage assessment has been done for safety purposes the base will allow normal operations.
Mayport has not issued an evacuation yet, and I was told they may wait until Friday a.m. to decide. However, I'm currently staying on NAS JAX, and was informed by authorities this a.m. that a mandatory evacuation was set for Friday, 9/8. Conditions are being monitored and decisions will be made according to the tracking of the storm.
Big truck times are 8am-5pm. As for parking for truck and trailer there are quite a few places. Most times you can park on the road, just need cones
You need Military base access.
Not sure at BEQ, but you can rent a room at Navy Lodge
No, but if you do not have it. I won't highly recommend that you wear a mask.
What kind of question is that? BE SPECIFIC! Military personnel travel all over the world by submarine.
Please stop at 48 alpha and not hold up the gate. It's the little building on the right.
If he is stationed aboard ship his address would be available on the ship's website.

Where is the Navy Lodge?
If there are any in dry dock, you might be able to see one from a distance from the Wonderwood bridge.
Gate 5 is located on A1A: head north on A1A and the gate will be on your right less than a mile from the ferry. The gate is open from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. If there is no sentry in sight, present your ID to the camera to gain access during business hours.
I think you're asking if an ID is required to enter NAS Jacksonville. If so, yes a military ID is required.
Go to the pass and ID office right before the front gate on the right hand side. You will see the parking lot and a small building.
Yes
Yes. It sits right on the beach, it has a large outdoor pool, and it is beautiful!
Have the person you are visiting get the details; they have access to any office necessary for this.
No submarines are based in Mayport; Kings Bay Naval Base, GA, is their home. However, occasionally subs do come in to Mayport. The Mayport basin always brings out the patrol boats with guns manned, and most everyone on the water is armed well before the sub arrives; it's amazing to see! I just posted 2 pics of subs on the Naval Station Mayport website. Google it, it's really neat.
The company you work for will have to get in touch with base security to verify that contractors can enter the base. Then all businesses should give there employees a return date. If not call your employer for further instructions.
They cleared out yesterday.
