It sure is a great location if you live in the neighborhood next to it. For railfans, I don’t recommend capturing trains at this station. If you don’t live that close by it can be hard to get to and hard to even notice. I think if they moved it to shady grove metro then it would be more convenient.

Always has parking, don't have to depend on stairs but limited train schedule.also, easier to get to compared to Gaithersburg station, if you're running late.

It very safe to park your car
Train goes to Union station Washington DC. You can catch MARC Penn line train from there to go to UMBC. It will be long commute but you can use it to study / quick nap.
