Went last Friday, not coming back. I remember when it was $10 to get in, now it’s $20. The place was not busy at all. No spectators in pits anymore, scrubbing track every 30min., cars breaking down every 20min. so more scrubbing. I’m surprised they haven’t banned alcohol and weed smoke was constant. Not worth the price of admission anymore.

This is a drag strip, not a race track. Damn Virginia International is sooo far away..

the 1st time i ever saw a Drag race was Aquasco Speedway in 1964 a skip and hoop threw the woods from Capital Dragway where for the 1st time I saw Funny Cars not sure of date maybe 67 or 68 i loved both of these places , when i started racing you could run at one load up and drive to the other we could put 3 days of drag racing on our experience resume, friday nite at ODS then Colonial Beach , then Aquasco and Capital those were the good ol days SUNDAY SUNDAY under the lights !

Yes you 100% could rent it out for private runs … but ppl only do that when they want to keep thier setup a secret … otherwise it makes ALOT more sense and is a zillion times cheaper to just come on Fridays for rest and tune and spend less than 50 bucks and “run what you brung” I used to run my banshee (four wheeler/atv) , my snowmobile/snowmachine , even raced my gas powered barstool and cooler… I’ve seen shorter carts, dune buggy’s, segways, anything u can imagine with one tire or more run there on test and tune nights … BIG PS … how do I get some more info on getting myself one of these 50+mph electric bikes … I have one but tops out at 27… and I wanna step it up now.please let me know how to get my hands on or to get on the waiting list for one like u was talking bout … longborn4 @ g mail . TnT is exactly what it states. Youre just trying to test the car. Doesnt matter who lines up next to you as it doesnt matter. Grudge racing, you are paired up with who you want to race. Usually its for a wager of money to see who is faster. Obviously its also for bragging rights as well.

Racers travel from all over. Best to let the ones traveling know before they leave the house.
Just show up and pay at the gate. Make sure you have a helmet. I do think they used to rent helmets but I would call and ask on that one. You will get a "tech card" which you fill out and give to the tech inspectors while they are making sure your car is safe to run and then you wait to hear the announcer call test and tune cars to the staging lanes.
Most events are $20.00 and for kids I'm not sure.
