Great starting place to the C&D canal on the eastern section. It’s tranquil and beautiful, accessible on foot or by bike. All paved and flat. You may watch the ocean ship coming by once in a while. Highly recommended!

It's a well paved trail, only a few feet from the canal which could be a risk for a young child learning to ride. A couple of switchbacks with hairpin turns, again, very near to the water with a swift current. A few spots in the trail with smoother "safer" conditions but a couple of potential trouble spots for a 1st time without training wheels or a child just learning to ride. Try Glasgow park on 40, a little less to worry about for a young child just learning
