Horrible management & very unorganized. The worst place I could have ever worked. Only worked there for about two weeks before being completely turned off and leaving. When I first started, I encountered rude staff and was directed all over the place with lack of communication by the people that were supposed to be training me. Not only was I left unattended several times with no direction but missed both of my 45 minute breaks; two days in a row for no reason, only because the person that trained me was negligent and skipped over it, but had me clock out for it anyway. Missed my paid 15 minute break dam near most of the days while working there for the same cause. Stayed over twice… leaving a hour to two hours late due to the person training me again being negligent of time and instead of doing what needed to be done, wanted to chat it up with the other staff about drama within the facility & worry about everything else going on, besides the people we were assigned to and task. They have no practice of proper Covid protocol and should be flagged. Cases spread like wild fires, & instead of them doing proper test on all the residents, since they all co-exist in the same areas. They just wait for one to come up with Covid & test only them & not everyone else exposed. They don’t have proper protection. No N-95 mask when entering the residents areas that have Covid, sometimes no shields provided, gloves, or clothing barriers. Which cause great risk for staff also to get contaminated. Not to mention scheduling is horrible, they take advantage. I worked full time, which is 40 hours a week, every other weekend with two days off. But worked straight through the whole week, only got one day off due to a medical appointment I already had scheduled. When the next weeks schedule came out realized they had me working a double weekend, with only one day off again. When I asked about it, maybe assuming they were trying to finish my orientation quickly, which I was told would only be 5 days but yet had me training longer…received no response as to why, just that they needed the spots filled due to call outs and lack of workers for that time. Which is very unprofessional and again lack of communication and not my problem, since I do have a life outside of work. I then went to speak to someone higher in charge about all my concerns & received attitude but also the statement, saying nothing could be done & that I should just follow the person that’s training me till fully off orientation, which I had no clue when that was. That’s when I had it up to my last strike, I finished that day out of work…to avoid any proclaims of elderly abandonment and did not return the following day. The residents are lovely but I recommend for choice of work or putting a loved one in here for there safety of a virus and proper protocol being met. This not being the place.
