Worked with Methodist volunteers from Columbus, Dayton Garden club and locals to plant over 30 trees to help restore the park today. This will be a great place again for North Dayton locals.

This visit was short, and bittersweet! I enjoy coming here for the annual "Taste of Old North Dayton"! Stuart Patterson Park was my favorite place to go swimming as a youngster, and even as a teen! So, my family and I have much history here! The day after the Memorial Day Tornado's, I drove by the park, on my to my mother's house (which was also damaged)! It was so sad a devastating to see all of the old, beautiful trees that were down at the park! It made me sick to my stomach! Because, not only obvious reasons, but, because all I could think of was this devastation is all over the city of Dayton! Most of the houses on my street were spared any damages. As I ventured out, there was so much damage everywhere I'd go! Back to Patterson Park, and the festival; People were in pretty good spirits, considering! The food was good, as usual! "Dayton Strong" signs were everywhere! The first responders were shown appreciation by the community! It was overwhelming how people all came together in this very diverse neighborhood! I cried when I got home! "Dayton Strong!' I 💖 Dayton!

We loved the Water Park but it was So NASTY Trash everywhere , I got Trash Cans from the Hall , I picked up trash from the Park and the Water Park. I placed a trash can down at the Water Park so ppl could use it.

Great place place to take your children or grandchildren to play. Also a great place to take your dog to run play with his ball, and great picture taking.
