Was here to get my female puppy spade. The area was very nice and well maintained. I was here many years ago, getting my first pup from them. Sadly he passed away since then, just this January. I ended up getting another dog and needed to get her fixed. Only issue I had was getting the appointment booked. When it opens on it, book it asap, don't wait. They open appointment booking on each new month a day or two ahead. So keep checking. Pricing is fair, but keep in mind they will charge for extra if something comes up like extra weight, or like fleas. They have a place for the spaying and neutering, a place for the adoption process and a place where the dogs, cats or other small animals are at. They have a cemetary for pets only. You pay a fee to bury your pet there. They do have a restroom if needed.

Can't recommend this place enough! When my sweet cat Patrick died, I was devastated. The funeral director was extremely sympathetic and helped me through a difficult time. The humane society not only took care in the cremating my beloved cat, but he is now resting in a beautiful plot in their amazing cemetery. You made a difficult time in my life much more manageable. Thank you for all that you do!

I lost my best friend on June 28,2018. I knew then, as I know now, what it feels like to have a hole in my heart. Veronica, the Funeral Director at B.H.S., took care of my little boy with gentleness and compassion when the time came to bury him. Cappy is buried just off Megan’s Walk. I attended Grief Meetings and found that there are so many others who share this common feeling of emptiness. It has been almost a year without Cappy. At least once a week I go to the B.H.S. Cemetery and find comfort in knowing that he is surrounded by so many other loved ones.

Veronica had just recently started at BHS when I lost my Beloved Yorkie (17 yrs old) April 25, 2018. I was such a mess, not being able to decide what type of burial service to have. She was a great comfort in assuring me that I could take all the time I needed, that my pet was being well care for. I can't remember how many times I called her (she gave me her cell phone #) and each time I did she was sooo compassionate. She helped me pick out a beautiful location, and after all was said and done, it was such a relief to know that he was finally at rest and I was at peace. Thank You Veronica for who you are and all you do!!

I would assume over 18. Volunteers can be any age with parental supervision.
