Klappenberger and Son, Howard County painted the siding of my Ellicott City home beautifully. The team of painters performed the work in a professional and efficient manner and I would highly recommend them.

Top notch service from beginning to end. We worked with Arturo- he supported us as a trusted advisor. Listening to our needs and advising the best process. His team showed up on time, they kept our home protected and tidy. Very professional and efficient team.

Klappenberger & Son Howard County is listed first in the Howard County Best Picks Report for painters and it’s easy to understand why. Arturo was quick to respond to my inquiry for an estimate and patient with us while we decided on colors after the estimate. The painting crew was very professional and the quality of their work was excellent. I have already recommended Arturo and his crew to one of my neighbors, and we are also looking forward to working with him again.

Arturo and Nelson did a fantastic job with our project. They were prompt, communicated effectively, personable, and the quality of their work was great. They repainted our son's bathroom as well as replaced his bathtub and shower tile wall which was original to the house. Everything looks great and we are already recommending them to our family and friends and hope to use them in the future to replace our kitchen :)

Typically, we ask the customer to remove breakables such as emptying a China closet. However, I hate asking a customer to move furniture and risk having an injury. It surprises me to see that it generally only takes a couple men about 10-20 minutes to empty a room. I feel that if you are paying someone to do the work that they might as well do the heavy lifting.
It is a Klappenberger & Son Best Practice to clean prior to painting. Whether the cleaning is done from power washing or by hand, it is important to get off all foreign debris. Mold will actually grow through the paint and pollen; dirt and brake dust will interfere with proper adhesion.
Yes, in most cases staining a deck will last longer than painting. However, there are exceptions to every rule. Places that are arid are better suited for painting.
