Went as part of a large group, were late, and we were welcomed and treated well. Great location...

Dave Lewis was our volunteer tour guide. He did a outstanding job. He was very knowledgeable about the aircraft. We had a very enjoyable time. Thank you to all the volunteers.

I’ve lived in Dover most of my life. This museum is a hidden gem. There’s a control tower, indoor C-47 display, and numerous airlift and former DAFB aircraft. A KC-10 is waiting to get space for display and a VC-25A may be coming in the future. There is also a small gift shop onsite.

We had a tour today with Ed R. He was so knowledgeable and his first hand experience made it so informative and fun. It was a wonderful, highly impactful experience. One visit was not enough we will absolutely be back. M. Mundy, Lewes, DE 10/7/22

Hi Ed, Unfortunately our B-17 is only accessible to distinguished guests. Sorry!
Yes, but you will want to go visit the museum and gift shop! Highly recommend!
Hi Harriet, We are closed on Mondays. Thank you for your question!
Yes, besides Mondays and Federal Holidays. Please check our Visit page for full details: https://amcmuseum.org/visit/

Hi David, to piggy-back off of Mary and Antwonette, we have two aircraft that are opened for unguided tours every day: the C-130 Hercules and C-141B Starlifter. Unfortunately, the C-130 is being repainted right now and is closed to visitors until that's finished. The C-5 Galaxy and C-47 Skytrain are opened for guided tours only. Several additional aircraft are opened for our event, Open Cockpit Day, on the third Saturday of the month. As said before, check our website under the Events section to view more details. All of this is contingent on whether the weather holds up since these aircraft are outside, although since our C-47 is inside you can always ask for a tour on that aircraft.
You do not need a visitors pass. It has its own entrance. It is free to get in! No need for appointment. You can check website for their open hours.
Hello, The C-141, C-130, and C-5 are open to the public. The C-47 is available to tour with a guide. The museum does not have a C-17 (I'm sure many confuse the C-17 for the C-5) nor is one available for touring. The museum is currently open Wednesday through Sunday, 9am to 4pm.
No cost for entry but check website for any additional information
You should probably contact them directly...
I believe it's from 9am to about 4 pm Monday through Friday. Free parking and admission. Make sure to ask for tour guide which is also free they can show you inside some planes and show you the simulators.
