Due to a crooked prosecutor not turning over evidence that showed my innocence I could not prove the truth and ended up on probation (after prison). While I didn’t want to be on probation I haft to say Sussex County Probation was fair. If you do what you are supposed to do they will help you. If don’t do what you are supposed to they will punish you. All I wanted from the start was to be treated fair. Shame probation is far more fair than the judicial process.

Nobody wants to be on probation. Sometimes we find ourselves under circumstances we cannot control. Where ever the fault may lie is irrelevant. Unless you have enough money to circumvent the system, you are in the trenches of a broken, corrupt, made for profit trap. When you have had this experience you might loose everything and everyone you think you had. There are people long the way that are in that trap that are actually there to help you. If you can get off your pity part, except there is no way out but through, that’s where you see the people that are truly there to help you. Probation officers are the light at the end of the tunnel. They have the resources and the ability to help you. Every workplace has their nurse Ratchet types, don’t get me wrong, but, if you can be honest enough with yourself enough to be honest with your probation officer you might actually grow and learn something. My probation office is Kelly. She has show me nothing less than her undivided attention, compassion, generosity, and the courtesy or viewing my situation on an individual basis. I dint want to be on probation but every time I walk in the building I see smiles and the people there are making the best of they’re day. Give your probation officer the benefit of the doubt. Sit in there shoes, they know when they are being lied too. They probably got into this job because they cared about someone and decided to help the world. I am so happy I’m not on probation in Denver!! Ps. They also gave me a ton of groceries. I was homeless and had no food. I walked out with a bunch of groceries. If you have ever been in a situation where you cannot buy groceries it means so much when someone just helps. Anyways, thank you for your service probation officers everywhere. We know your not in it for the money!!
