Very nice, clean. Big bathroom. Location is perfect for walking to shops and restaurants on the square. Smith House restaurant is great. So much food. Great fried chicken! The room is a bit pricey but honestly worth it when you consider the area.

There are no words to describe the level of service we received from Freida and Sheila at The Smith House for my daughter’s wedding. The lodge was the main hub for the guests, and we held the Rehearsal Dinner there also. Sheila was amazing at the multiple changes that were made to all the rooms over the year period as we planned the wedding. Freida was a God-send as we planned the many details that my daughter and new son-in-law wanted. Freida communicated clearly, did not miss any details, arranged to meet us on her day off (multiple times). If you are planning a wedding in Dahlonega, The Smith House is the ONLY place I would consider for my guests to stay and for an amazing Rehearsal Dinner.

Ohhhhh this food was good. Definitely couldn't eat like this often but once in a while a splurge is needed. We stopped here while on vacation. The staff all worked together. It was absolutely charming oh, and tasty! Also, read the history of the house. Very interesting

Restaurant Review: We had a terrific meal and experience here. Our group loved the food. Of particular note is the fried chicken and the collared greens. Delicious! Also love the strawberry shortcake dessert; just the right serving size. We sat by a warm fireplace and our server was attentive and friendly. It was our first time here and we enjoyed it. We are at the restaurant and didn't stay at the lodge.

Yes there is, from the lobby down to the dining room. My friend uses a walker and used the elevator to get down. Handicap accessible.
I think with Covid19 they told us, any refills of food would be in take home containers.
Are you asking Google Maps if the Smith House restaurant gives a discount because one is celebrating a birthday? I do not believe they do this. This restaurant serves things family style where the whole table shares the meal, so I'm not sure how that would work. But, I have never been there on my birthday, so maybe I'm wrong. They have a form on their website where you can contact them directly with questions. I'd recommend using that or giving them a call and inquiring.
