Terrible experience, almost the whole way through. First I checked availability online, around 10am on a Tuesday, and everything was booked up until after 3pm. I decided I was in too much pain to wait that long, so I went in person to see if I could sneak in an appointment. When I got there the place was empty. The display on the wall showed all the online appointment registrations of people who were nowhere to be found. I checked in and was brought back within a few minutes. This was nice but also frustrating, because I would have shown up sooner if not for all the fraudulent online reservations. The nurse got some info and ran some tests. She was nice and really the only pleasant part of the whole visit. Next came in the physician’s assistant with, presumably, an actual doctor on a Microsoft Teams call on his tablet and ear buds. So all I can hear is what the assistant is relaying to the doctor. After seeing that the strep test the nurse gave me was negative (possibly false negative), checking my ears and throat (he checked so quickly and carelessly he must have missed the white spots on my tonsils), and not really listening to anything I was saying, the physician’s assistant authoritatively told me it was viral and to just wait it out. Two days later, after seeing no change in my “viral” infection and still being in enough pain that drinking water and getting more than an hour of sleep per night was a struggle, I made a virtual appointment with another health care provider and doctor who actually listened to what I was saying. I was prescribed a round of antibiotics and felt better by the next day. I don’t know if I’ve ever left a Google review in my life, but I felt so strongly about this situation that I had to post this. Unless there are some drastic changes made here, I will not be returning.

Wish urgent care would have xray and ultra sounds. We had to be turn around and had to the ER at the hospital

Staff was friendly and I got there almost an hour early and they took me right away. The place was clean and neat and the nurse practitioner was polite and exactly matched the diagnosis that Delaware Ortho gave me a day later! Way to go!

This Urgent care is a hit or miss. It really depends on which MD, PA, or NP is working that day. The reason for my review today is their refusal to fill out a physicians authorization form for a preemployment physical fitness test. The fitness test entails push ups, sit ups, & 1.5 mile run. I am a healthy 5’9 160lb physically fit 27 year old. I believe these facilities staffed with MD, PA, or NPs should be capable of assessing my health and signing off on such a form. I was told they can’t assess the “run” portion. In addition, it was aggravating to see that the provider dismissed the form without even taking a look at me or the form itself. I have had these types of forms filled out in the past and a provider has never asked me to run on a treadmill to assess if I’m healthy enough to run. It seemed silly and almost lazy that they declined to help me today.
