Highlights: Not pet friendly. Limited stalls to pick from Pet Want's attendant was terrific! I live across the street from the Shady Grove Wednesday Farmers Market. I typically work turning the week, but I just so happened to be off today and was genuinely excited to have the opportunity to check out this market finally. We stopped by because we saw a pet tent and wanted to check it out. (We had our small dog with us.) while walking around, we were approached by a woman saying that she ran this farmer's market and that dogs were not allowed. ( there are no signs anywhere stating this rule) She then informed us that we could go to our dog to a tree and then return. It's 85 outside and sunny with no breeze! Won't be returning.

Excellent local farmer's market. Love the pastries Kuk's Tribute Ghanaian food truck. The cookie vendor should put up a sign showing all the different kinds of cookies so folks don't crowd around to see what's what and end up getting herded into a line before they know what, if anything, they want. I would like to see organic produce which is basically all I buy except for those fruits/vegs with thick, inedible skins like bananas which are ok to buy non-organic.

Wed., June 10, 2010: 1st time here. Since I'm not working because of COVID-19, I was able to go today. Purchase eggs from the nice Amish lady. Fantastic easy access and convenient location.

Hi Chris. Thanks for your question. We have some current options for you. Also, keep an eye out for our Fall Curbside Pickup & Delivery market. Greenway Farms – grows salad greens and herbs year-round, no negative inputs. Pleitez Produce – all non-GMO, uses almost no inputs and can tell you about each crop and any inputs. MoCo Greens – grows microgreens year-round without inputs; they will be at Derwood market as of August 1. Remember, our meat farms are 100% pasture raised and Farmstead Butcher is all grass-fed. Hi Cathy. Thanks for your question! Yes, we did go until the end of October until 2017. The new building still under construction has eliminated several hundred parking spaces and we have to balance the space needed for the market with the new space configuration for everyone else. We miss the longer season too!
