Crazy blond booth attendant. (Middle aged, short) 1. Didn't know that parking in the lot before entrance is not all 15 minutes. Sign says no overnight parking. Lied about it when asked with a stupid smirk on her face. 2. Failed to keep me safe when talking to her and waved traffic through instead of stopping it which is her job. 3. Question was how to enter Park on foot and not interested in driving around with a vehicle. Took several attempts to get that answer out of her. Try to upsell me on a $15 ticket and drive my car to the park. Conclusion: if you want to be condescended at a park, come here and ask for her.3pm, June 7th, 2022.

Wonderful campground. Very clean, multiple areas to access the lake and several great hikes. Local store right outside camp for small needs. We felt as though we had plenty of room in our site for our family. We camped in the Sierra area. The mosquitos were out and about so fair warning bring your repellent! The lake has several places to rent boats and places to fish. We took the waterfall hike with our family and it was perfect for elementary age kids. We drove down to the trail head in another days use area to make it more manageable. Looking forward to our next trip!

Overnight camping is by reservation only. Day use is open to the public first come forst serve, but it fills up fast. If your not in the park by 10am you wont get in, during the weekend. There is a few other lakes abkut 15 to 20 mins further up the freeway. Ice House, or Union Valley Resevoir usually have more room.
You should call to make reservations. They book up months in advance.
NOPE!
No snow but lots of rain. I live 5 minutes from the lake and go right passed it a couple of times a day, at least twice.

I'd probably have the folks at the security gate work it out.
I suggest contacting the campground via phone or in person to understand the answer to your question.
Yes
It's hit and miss as long as you're along the water's edge you should be good.
Yes there is fishing. Lots of trout and bass. There is no cabins on the lake.
No, they also have tent sites, and family sites, group area. An equestrian area now is the time to go before the season hits and it just gets crazy with people.
No water or sewer at the sites, but they do have spigots throughout the campground and a dump station near the entrance.
Yes but they turn the water off for winter
Agreed or just call the campsite
Yes with a valid California fishing license. They have rainbow trout, smallmouth bass. The lake was just also recently stocked at the Maine boat launch. Anywhere along the first dam would be good fishing area. Don't forget to pay your $5 use fee at the park....
Call the reservation office they can help 530-295-6811
