Basically you start the process by going directly to clerk in the NYC Housing Court and tell them exactly how your Landlord has done you wrong and what you'd like the Landlord to do to correct it.
Bronx Defenders do assist people with Landlord and Tenant issues. But more likely than not they will instruct you to do exactly as I have told you. Good Luck!

These are court appointed Lawyers. I'm not sure you can actually hire them. You would have to call and ask. I am almost certain you can't. Your better off with one of the lawyers on 161st St. Notice; they are extremely expensive. I've been quoted $600.00 per appearance, on several from 161st St. Good luck sealing your record, that is one of the most difficult things to do in criminal court.

Yes bronx defenders help people with open acs cases..they can actually defend you in family court with your acs case..
You can never be compelled to testify in a trial or otherwise upon the grounds that your answer may incriminate yourself which is grounded in the Constitution. However, you must appear or a warrant may be issued. Thus, speak to the ADA who is handling the matter and tell them you refuse to testify. They will though attempt to discern whether you were threatened and they could obtain a material witness order which means that they could lock you up until its time for trial. Similarly, the Court may want to pose questions to you as well.

I know for a fact that they are great lawyers, because i have dealt with them. Truly you just need to go there, and ask the receptionist can you speak to someone. And if they can't help you i know that they can refer you to someone they know. Their team is deep..

You would have to go back to the precinct where you were issued the ticket. That's going to depend on the deal you're attorney is able to make with D.A.'a office.
I am pretty sure that they will be able to direct you to the department that handles all NYCHA issues. The Bronx Defenders office, has about six buildings, and each one has offices that cover different areas.
My brother has a DV case class B misdemeanor and their offering him 30days jail. He has no felonies and this is his first DV case. Is it possible can still take the class b misdemeanor but instead of the 30days can he get anger management program?

Go to either the Bx Defenders or Legal Aid Society and let them know your situation. They do not charge. Allow the attorney to facilitate your surrender, and chances are, depending on the underlying issue, you might be required to pay a fine...especially if the bench warrant is based on a failure to pay a fine (cashier's warrant)

If the case is over, you should get a disposition for dismissal and contact the district attorneys office who has it..not the police.

That answer is alittle complex because you dont state where your daughter lives now and who has custody nor whether you have ever had custody. Legal Aid Society provides decent help for custody cases
