The new name is this spot is called El Meguey. Put it this way, every town has their Mexican restaurant, and you can count on most being consistent with what you are used to. This one hits all of those marks AND they definitely go the extra mile with delicious homemade salsa verde and tomatillo smokey based salsa. Ingredients seems a step up from the typical small town Mexican restaurant. Ambiance isn’t amazing, but it’s a hole in the wall worth the exploration. Don’t hesitate!

Our waiter was very polite and did a really good job of keeping our drinks full. He didn't make us feel like we had to rush to eat or order which was really nice! Clean place, good food, definitely a gem!

We were hiking at Grundy Lake, and found this restaurant. Our waiter was very nice and attentive! The food was very good and authentic. Great prices!

They have great salsa. However I got their special which was fajitas and they were honestly okay. I’m usually never disappointed with Mexican but I give it three stars as they have good chips and salsa with standard food, and today, had quick service.
