Epworth by the Sea was a beautiful place! The property is located on the Frederica River on St. Simon's Island. The grounds are perfect for photo ops. The staff prepared delicious meals and the food service staff was very courteous. The gift shop was a nice add to get memorabilia.

Bad! 1: there where bed bug in almost every room and a lot of people where complaining: 2: I got the feeling that I was being watched and when I looked out the window the janitor was staring at me. When I asked how I could help him he ask if he could clean my pipes. If you are there. Run!

They’re reopened now. Newly renovated and super nice.
Yes. The food is food as well.
They’ve got an awesome, paved bike/hike path that will carry you to the Pier, some very good food, and Neptune park. You’ll pass the airport on the way, and it’s very cool if a plan comes in while you’re in the area.
They’ve got a very nice pool. It’s 3’ deep in the shallow and 5’ deep on the deep end.
If you’re staying at Epworth, they have a fishing pier. I’ve caught several different species from the pier and had a blast. You could always go to the St. Simons pier as well. It’s just a few miles from Epworth.
