I came here on 10/07/2022 for an appointment at 9:40AM. I showed up 15 minutes before my appointment and I was sitting in the lobby until about 10:05AM because no one had called me to put me in a room. I got up and told the front desk that my appointment was at 9:40AM and I needed to leave soon. As soon as I spoke to them someone came and put me in a room. I explained to the person that put me in the room that I needed to leave by 10:20AM. By 10:20AM the doctor was not in to see me so I walked out. On my way out one of the staff member tells me that she was running late and I told her that I had to leave, and that I have been waiting over an hour. My appointment was at 9:40am, I checked in 15 minutes prior, and I was put in a room at 10:15pm, that’s 50 minutes of me waiting for nothing. If the doctor is running behind the least the staff can do is notify the patient so that they are aware. No one told me she was running late until I was leaving. If I was told that she is running late when I got there I would have understood and possibly reschedule if I had to. On top of that, I thought because the doctor didn’t see me , someone from her staff would at least call me to apologize or to reschedule. Nope. No one called. I will not be coming back here. I do not want to be in a clinic where my healthcare does not matter to others. I wasted time and money today when it could have been avoided if I was told she was running late when I checked in. Who knows how long I would have waited in the lobby if I didn’t say anything to the front desk. Unprofessional.

So far, so good! I am a newer patient but have had great experiences so far. Dr. Canestraro is great, very kind and he takes my concerns seriously. Frankie was able to see me on short notice regarding some issues I had and she checked that everything was okay ASAP. The MAs are so friendly and the ultrasound tech was super informative. Overall, everyone has made my husband and I feel very comfortable and like an active participant in my pregnancy journey (and not just a bystander like how other doctors offices treat you!)

QUICK OVERVIEW: They charged my insurance for tests that were not medically indicated, full precautions for my LEEP procedure were never given to me until I showed up for my appointment, I was told I had a choice for local or general anesthesia for my LEEP procedure but wasn't given one during scheduling. My HPV vaccine was "most likely be covered" by my insurance and then I was billed for it. The billing office condescendingly conveyed information to me that was wrong. I outlined my concerns in a survey but never heard anything back from the company. More detail below I have been very happy with my regular OBGYNE checkups for the past 5 years. I was actually excited, because I found Frankie that I like and feel comfortable doing my regular Well Women's Exams. But the billing issues and disaster with communication will make me think otherwise. I really hope this feedback helps others as I don't feel any patient should go into a procedure as unprepared as I was. I am quite frankly aghast at what I've experienced CHARGING MY INSURANCE FOR PROCEDURES NOT INDICATED: I was asked to provide a urine sample when I showed up the DAY AFTER my LEEP procedure. I went home because I was told I was all done, but they forgot to administer my HPV vaccine. I argued with the front office lady that another urine sample didn't need to be given and sure enough my billing statement indicates I was charged a URINE PREGNANCY TEST ON 05/26 and 05/27. Charging insurance for a urine pregnancy test the DAY after a procedure when you cannot have sex for 2 weeks is not medically indicated. Plus, it was your mistake in sending me home. BILLING ISSUES: During my colposcopy, Patricia Janicek recommended the HPV vaccine and she looked at my insurance and said "they will most likely cover." Sure enough Tricare denied. I called billing and the Tricare billing lady called me back and was less than helpful - she was 1000% sure that appeals for Tricare never work, but guess what? It WAS covered and I received a check directly. And her vague explanation as to why they wouldn't cover clearly showed that she wouldn't fight very hard for coverage. So, I called billing again to get the SECOND vaccine covered and was given the same narrative, when I told billing that I received a check from Tricare there was an aghast and DEMAND that I need to send the company MY check. I paid out of pocket for the vaccine. PRECAUTIONS FOR LEEP NOT CORRECTLY GIVEN: I asked Patricia Janicek what the precautions were after my LEEP. I specifically said that I have a physically demanding job, so was surprised when I showed UP for my LEEP and no vigorous activity was quoted for 2 weeks. I was also to avoid swimming for 2 weeks - I had 2 vacations planned following and sometimes treat patients in the pool. NO ANESTHESIA OPTION: I was told by Patricia Janicek that my LEEP could be done with general anesthesia or local anesthesia - she then transferred me to the front office to schedule my appointment. The day before my appointment, I realized I never told anyone which one I wanted - which was general anesthesia. So, I called the office an was told general anesthesia only happens on Tues (I was scheduled for Thurs and I had rearranged my patients to make sure I had plenty of time to recover from the procedure as my job is rather physical). So, switching to Tues would be impossible without cancelling my patients, so I had no choice in anesthesia. Which was FANTASTIC to hear the Dr say she's having trouble cutting parts of my cervix. NO EXTENSION TO CALL BACK: If the MA does not leave a direct extension to call back, there is no option to contact your doctor or their MA. So, Frankie's MA kept trying to get a hold of me and I kept calling back and eventually I chose the option for scheduling and they re-routed me. The Front Office corrected me when I said the 3rd HPV vaccine is 4 months, she said 2. Then clarified with her coworker that, it was 4 months
