Great collection of back issues and reasonable prices
Rich Chappell
I didn't take time to look around the store, so my opinion may change if I go there in the future. My first impression is that this store at least looks like a real comic book store, unlike some others I've seen around town that only carry new comics and some action figures. Hours of operation leave a lot to be desired for working adults, since they are typically open only during the hours when I'm supposed to be in my office, except on the weekends when this store would be far out of my way. The issue with hours seems to be true of all local comic stores though. It seems like comic book stores don't want any customers who work 9-6 or 10-7. I decided to take time off on Friday to pick up some bags and boards. The employee showed up 7 minutes late for opening at 11. They had two bags of bags, but only for the thin new comics, not wide enough for my 30+ year old comics. They had no boards in stock. [Edit 8/12/2022] - I have been back a few times since my initial visit. The owner is very nice and knowledgeable, easy to talk to. They have more back issues than other stores, except maybe Brandon's Comics. Prices are reasonable. Ash Comics has a massive $1 bin area (14 long boxes on my last visit). I think I bought almost 50 issues from there, and I've only gone through half of it. Older comics in the $1 bin are mostly low-grade reader copies. You're not going to find a high-grade key issue hiding in there.

Drew's great. Had exactly what I wanted and suggested some things I hadn't heard of. Will go back.

Yes and call them to confirm they still do it. No matter what you got this! Make it happen!
It depends. Best to call ahead and tell them what you have and ask when the best time is to come before bringing it by the shop.
Small selection of manga, but more manga-inspired western comics. No anime at this location.
It doesn't have a ton. But it has some really good ones. Akira, Jinjo Ito etc.
Mostly a comic book store. They have a small amount of manga. Never seen any anime.
Yes. Five comics and this store has one of the largest selection to choose from that i have ever seen in Phoenix.
