So hey listen, I am super nervous when it comes to needles and blood. I have never given blood before for obvious reasons. The young lady they assigned to take care of me from the start could not have made the process any easier for me. We talked about the difference between tattoos and blood needles. UGH! She helped me with my questionnaire since I did not have my old man glasses with me. With the help from her coworker, who was also super cool, she cleaned up, and put a Band-Aid on the scratch I got from work. I hate that I can't remember her name, but she called me my dear alot, and had braces. I just wanted to express my appreciation to her for making something that I was dreading so easy peasy. Thank you young lady for doing such a great job. I will make sure that you are there next time I come in. I won't let anybody else take my blood.

Hi Larry - that's correct. You have to be 16+ in order to donate. See more info here: https://www.vitalant.org/blood-donation-requirements Thanks for considering donating blood with Vitalant! Fernando @ Vitalant
Hi Bob, thank you for your inquiry. In accordance with current FDA guidelines, masks are not required for donors who are fully vaccinated unless there are local laws that mandate it. You're welcome to schedule an appointment and donate blood as we seek to help patients in need of blood donations. Very best, Fernando @ Vitalant
Fairly sure that due to covid you have to make an appointment but normally they accept walk-ins. Donated this weekend and I needed an appointment.
Hi Bryan. Thanks for your question. You may be confusing what we do with a plasma center. If you donate blood to us, we use it for hospital patient transfusions. As such, the FDA prohibits us from paying our donors in an effort to keep the blood supply as safe as possible. A plasma center pays when you give them plasma, because they use it to develop retail products and pharmaceuticals. So, if you decided to give to us, you would be saving the lives of a hospital patient and supporting your community. www.Vitalant.org Take care, Brad
Hi there! Thanks for your interest in giving blood at Vitalant. Due to the fact we're a non-for-profit organization, we only work with blood donations and can't provide a financial compensation to blood donors. We do have a recognition program where you can earn points to redeem which some blood donors find appealing. If you wish to schedule an appointment to donate blood, please visit vitalant.org. Many thanks, Fernando @ Vitalant
Hello. No. We do not pay our blood donors. It's against FDA regulations since the blood and plasma we collect are used to treat hospital patients. You may be thinking of a plasma center. The plasma they get is sold to manufacturing companies for things like pharmaceuticals. If you would like to give blood to help a hospital patient, please go to Vitalant.org for more information and to make an appointment. Thank you.
Are you asking how much you get for making a blood donation? If that's the case, you don't make anything. Our donations are completely voluntary, which is actually an FDA regulation. Let me know if you had another question in mind? Brad
Hello. Under FDA regulations, we may not pay someone for their blood donations as the donations we receive are used to transfuse to hospital patients. You may be thinking of a plasma center where people are paid. The plasma collected is sold to pharmaceutical companies. Let us know if you have any other questions. Brad
No we don't. We use to Be United Blood Services. We draw blood, plasma, and platelets for our striving community.
This not a plasma center that pays for plasma for research purposes only. This is a volunteer (unpaid) blood donation center that you donate directly to add to the hospital blood supply for patients in need. If you are looking for cash for your donation check out Cdl plasma or others like it. United Blood Services, like American Red across do not pay for donations.
Hello. I'm not sure when you left this question. I wasn't notified. Anyway, Renaissance Fair vouchers will be giving out to MAX donor from Jan. 16 through Feb. 28. I hope that helps.
Yes, you may donate if you are a Canadian. Thanks for your interest in transforming lives through blood donations.
We do not play plasma donors here. Our plasma is used to send to hospitals to treat patients. Thank you.
