My husband and I sing at various memory care and retirement centers in the metro Phoenix area. Shadow Mountain Memory Care in Phoenix, is one of the most caring places that we have performed at. The staff is so genuine, caring and loving towards the residents. It is touching to see the staff encourage, hug them, make them smile and laugh, dance with them, and interact with them in the most caring ways. I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone who is looking to place their parent, who may be needing care due to memory issues, in a very safe and loving environment.

Love this memory care facility. They treated my mother like a Queen. The care that all the individuals get is top notch. The activities are daily, food is excellent and the facility itself is sanitized and clean. I highly recommend this environment for your loved one.

This is a great option if you are in need of a memory care facility. My father spent his last few months there after being at another home which described itself as "memory care" but clearly was not. This is the real deal if you need memory care. I never had to worry about my father at Shadow Mountain, the staff was wonderful and friendly, and they were always accommodating when he had visitors.

Yes, we are pet friendly. We believe our furry friends are part of our family. We have residents who have their own dogs, and we have visiting community dogs too. Having pets, loving them, and receiving love in return is important here at Shadow Mountain.
Yes, we do have transportation. We require a family member meet their loved one if the resident is being driven to a doctor appointment. We do have a minimal charge if the distance is over ten miles. At least one time a week we have an outing on our bus, which is always fun.
Yes, we do have all-inclusive pricing. Because we specialize in Memory Care here at Shadow Mountain, we know our residents care needs sometimes fluctuate. We do not believe in calling families about Level of Care increases as our residents age with us; instead, we keep our rate at one level for their care and the only differences is the type of apartment style chosen. Our monthly rent includes a personal care plan, 24-hour staff including nurses, diabetic management, an abundance of activities, delicious home-cooked meals, housekeeping and laundry services, all utilities, cable TV and support programs for family members. What is not included: telephone charges, medication, incontinence care and supplies.
Thanks for asking! Yes, we value live entertainment so much we have it scheduled five days a week. We schedule our entertainment during the afternoon, which can be a challenging time for some residents. We would love to have you visit us with your mother to enjoy some live music.
Yes, we have nurses 24/7 at our community. We believe having a dedicated nurse at Shadow Mountain helps provide a better quality of life for our residents. Nurses are trained to identify potential health risks early and evaluate our residents on a daily basis. Our nurses typically pass medications instead of med-techs. We believe having licensed nurses is a benefit to our residents and their families.
