Comfort Inn Muskogee near Medical Center

So we were very tired from traveling and working all day we've stayed at a lot of comfort inn and suites across the country and this is by far the worst one that we've ever stayed at. Choice hotels should be ashamed. Anything on the first floor has a musky odor to it and roaches you can clearly see water stains and what appears to be black mold in the ceiling. The front desk staff was accommodating and let me know that yes he hears the this hotel is very musky hotel all the time but the owners don't care. And inform me that he doesn't ever have any complaints on the second floor. He was correct the second floor was a whole lot nicer.

Positive: We liked: -the hotel was close to Castle of Muskogee that my mother and I were attending. -the room had a hot tub & mini fridge. -that the desk associates were pretty nice. -the price was very reasonable (tho for an under 12hr use) Negative: We were disappointed: -the room closet smelled of paint & room door kept sticking. -only 2 towels, had to ask for more just to use the hot tub & shower (in hot tub) -that the pool we picked this hotel for was closed but listed as open

Bed was good, room was reasonable size. Decor was dated, carpet could be cleaner. I think they are just hanging on until the new Comfort Inn is finished (we were told less than a month)

Very nice staff. Breakfast was mostly prepackaged due to covid restrictions but a lot of variety. Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable.
