I called ahead and scheduled a virtual appointment for 4pm with a COVID test follow up and then before 4 I received a text saying they were behind schedule and the appointment was pushed back to 4:45pm. I was okay with this and waited until 4:45 came and no messages or links had been sent to me. I called the office and no one answered so I left a message with my name and phone number saying I had an appointment, it was pushed back, but I still haven’t heard anything and I need to get tested. 6,7, and eventually 8pm rolls around and I have called 3 times and no one has answered or returned my calls and still have no update on my appointment…

I needed a COVID-19 test after two of my coworkers became ill from the virus and had tested positive. I scheduled a virtual visit, and it was straightforward. When the time came for my in-person nasal swab, it was done at the drive-through behind the building by someone in appropriate PPE. It didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it might; it was just a little uncomfortable. I had my results within an hour and, thankfully, they were negative.

I tried to call ahead to see if I had to do something special because of Covid and it’s recording says that they are taking walk-ins. So I went to the clinic big sign on the door says they are taking walk-ins but the doors locked. When I called they said that it was intentional in a snide way. And when they asked what I wanted to be seen for and I said because my ear was bothering me they said that they would have to have me use an app and then go to another clinic. The receptionist who answered the phone was actually quite rude and I don’t see the point of saying that you’re going to take walk-ins if you can’t even treat people. Total waste of time and treated rudely.

I have used doctors now in Altoona for the last 3 years. Whenever I go in the patient access receptionist and the doctors always listen to what you have to say no matter what your illness may be. They are very curtiest and office is always clean. I prefer going to doctors now then any other urgent care. I usually get to see a doctor in a timely fashion, of course there are those exception, when they are very very busy still beats waiting 2 to 4 hours in another urgent care. The longest I've spent in the waiting room and to see a doctor is no more than 30 minutes. If I could give them 10 stars I would. I'll give them 10 thumbs up👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
