This housing office members besides the front desk doesn’t seem to want to work. I turned in my paperwork back on the 3rd of August and still no reply’s no assistance, no answering of calls or emails. If these folks don’t want to work, PLEASE get people in there that do. If there is an employee out for a length of time there should be others helping with their case loads. This agency JUST DON’T! That’s with everything!

So today I called to speak with the portability officer by the name of Andrea. I do not know why but she was so negative towards me. I had questions and every single question I asked she shot me down! She told me that she would recommend I apply with Plano housing. She asked where I wanted to live and I said “I am thinking Plano” I did not say definitely! I don’t know if she was overwhelmed with her workload but she did not want to help me at all! I am new to all of this and I just want someone to help me. She made me feel so small after that call. I feel like giving up with the process now

Dallas Housing has availability for disabled people. You probably have better chances with them.
Long time, years. I did ask this question. Best to look other places
It varies. They only open once they have cycled through those who have been on the waiting list that applied when it was open. I applied when my son was born and just got my housing 1yr and a half ago....my son is 11 now
No I don't think you have to live in Grand Prairie to qualify as long as you can get into the waiting list and get accepted.
By calling them, they have a Apartment/ House List. Names, Address, City, Size of Apartment/House, Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Locate Apartment Website, See reviews, and everything you need. Godspeed.
Grand Prairie Is The Best
Not at the moment
only way find out you gotta call them
Go apply@any Housing Authority.. I would call b4 making a blank trip to see if > app.open
There waiting list may be closed but Arlington Housing Authority is opening there list this week 7-15 @ 9,so apply and also look up income based apts
2 weeks at the most depending on your caseworker
I went to my assistance check it say complete how long will it take for me to get my letter for my briefing
We was able to move the same day.
Call 211 or go to some of the local churches in your neighborhood
Send a certified letter to your landlord stating dates and time if notifications sent to them about the stove take pictures and record everything send that same notification to your housing department if your case worker does not respond within a week take this to a higher level but somethings cannot be done by phone you may have to go there in oerson
If you already have a section 8 from other state, check for port-in availability. If you do not, you will have to apply via the waiting list which is closed at the moment.
