My boyfriend and I went in earlier today with a young kitten we had found at our house the night before. I explained to the lady up front and what appeared to be the supervisor that we had heard the kitten under our house and had managed to catch it later that night. We were immediately met with comments such as “Are you sure it’s not your cat” and “Stray cats don’t act that sweet.” After the papers were signed, the supervisor proceeded to explain that there would likely be officers in our area asking about the kitten, whether to find the owner or to ask if it has been seen on our property before. I’ve never felt so criticized for trying to do the right thing by an animal and make sure it doesn’t end up starved or run over. I’ve worked with several shelters over the years and this is by far the rudest and least professional service I’ve seen.

We don not do micro-chipping. Most any vet will provide this service.
From what I saw of the place, the animals held there are well cared for. The building itself is clean and well kept. I am not sure if they "hold" animals until the owners settle their issues, though. I will look into it personally and see what they say

Good morning, you can call the Animal Services facility for information on this specific case. They do accept surrenders but there are fees associated with it. I would call just to make sure they policy with your specific case. They open at 1:00 p.m. on Mondays: 817-222-7124 Surrender fees, for all species of animals, are as follows: Bite Investigation - $60 Altered with Rabies Vaccine - $30 Altered with No Rabies Vaccine - $40 Unaltered with Rabies Vaccine - $65 Unaltered with no Rabies Vaccine - $75 Deceased animal pick-up for veterinarian clinics, citizens with small animals (under 30 lbs) and citizens with large dogs (over 30 lbs) will have a fee of $10.00 per animal picked up.
Saturdays they are open 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

If you are asking if they do Pet Tag's. They will most likely refer you to T CAP (Texas Coalition for Animal Protection) they not only do Low Cost Spay and Neuter & Vaccines for this area they also do Microchipping of Cat's & Dog's. Their website is www.texasforthem.org they have clinic's in Fort Worth, Denton, Burleson, & Hurst If you are wanting just a regular Pet Tag with like Your Pet's Name, Your Name, Home Address and Phone Number incase your pet gets lost there is a Machine in the entrance to the North Richland Hills Walmart (Grocery Entrance) you can buy and personalize Tag's from for Cat's and Dog's or Luggage & Keychains for $5.00. They have them in a lot of the Local Walmart's. But this is the only location I am for sure has one.
