The food was incredible!! We ate the fried chicken. They have a starter of beans and hush puppies ( both were great) endless corn, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans.quantities Each person much order their own meal and I understand why. The service was great. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Today was our first time eating at hometown. We didn't make it in time for breakfast so we'll have to make it back for that soon, but our server was absolutely amazing. Before my drink was even empty she had it filled back up again. That is a big deal to me because I drink a lot of liquid LOL. The hostess was very kind. The food came out fairly quickly. It was a very comfortable atmosphere and we were seated immediately. The bacon wrapped smoked meatloaf was absolutely delicious and something I have never had anywhere else. My wife got the smoked chicken and that was good as well. The chicken tenders that our kids got were great and not processed chicken. They were good chunks of tenderloin. We all enjoyed the mashed potatoes corn and green beans as well as the biscuits that came with the meal. The salad beforehand was modest but delicious. We came in very hungry, so having something to eat right away before our main meal came out was very nice. My wife loved her sweet tea, and my unsweet tea was fantastic. We are looking forward to coming back for breakfast.

Maybe the best meal I have had at a restaurant in a long time. The portions are huge and the quality is very good. We had the smoked chicken and it was awesome. The sides are all u can eat and the service was spot on. You can’t beat the price either. I will definitely go back when I am in Decatur, TX again.
