I have been working with paradise through my solar company, Omnidian, for many months now. They gave a quote of $6000 to take down and reinstall my 22 panels when I replaced my roof in Dec 21. Even Omnidian felt it was high and they allowed me to use a local company for $2100 (exact same job). Recently, I was hoping I can use Paradise (the folks seem nice) to hook up my envoy box with my router. This should be connecting one long wire correctly at 2 ends. They gave me a quote of $613. I am glad to see such positive experiences of so many people and I am compelled to think that they are singling me out and overcharging me. Added after response below ... BTW, I am in Buffalo, NY, a 1.3M city. And I appreciate the owner's response. Omnidian and Paradise have a contract, which is why as a home owner I have limited options. Your trucks are here often, why can't they schedule the tasks in a way such that this kind of help is not unaffordable? Omnidian is NOT paying for this work. I had naturally assumed that you guys could do that.

Our summer camp worked with Paradise to install a large solar panel system on our Dining Hall. They were wonderful from the first contact until the final detail. We are grateful for their patience as we had to navigate a long decision making process (as a non-profit) and they walked us through our many questions. The installation was timely, efficient and professional as well. We would highly recommend.

My family and I had an excellent experience with Paradise Energy Solutions out of Geneva. The quality of service and communication from this company was incredible and I would certainly do business with them in the future if we choose to install a larger solar system

Good people, meet at a farm show, they were honest, top quality, and very responsive to our individual needs. We now have a pv system in place since last january and it is operating above our expectations. I will continue to recommend paradise energy solutions to my business contacts and customers at the farm.

How much space is needed for solar panels?

Paradise Energy Solutions | Oct 19, 2020
Paradise Energy Solutions | Oct 19, 2020

There are several factors that impact the amount of space needed for your solar system. Some of those factors include, how much electricity the system needs to produce (this impacts the amount of panels needed), the type and size of the panels that are chosen, and the available space. For rule of thumb, a 10 kW system to cover a $160 monthly electric bill would use about 650 sq ft for a roof mount and 0.014 acres for a ground mount. A 50 kW system would offset a $680 monthly electric bill and would use about 3,250 sq. ft for a roof mount and 0.069 acres for a ground mount.

Will the added weight of solar panels affect my roof’s structural integrity?

Paradise Energy Solutions | Oct 19, 2020
Paradise Energy Solutions | Oct 19, 2020

Most newer buildings are constructed to support the extra weight of solar panels. If there are any questions as to whether your roof can support solar panels, we will have a third-party engineer do a structural analysis to determine if extra support is needed.

How many panels do I need?

It depends on how much electricity you use. We analyze your recent electric bills to assess the amount of electricity you need to cover, and then we’ll design a system that fits that level of usage taking into account shading, orientation, and other factors.

Will my solar system require maintenance?

There are no moving parts in a solar system, so maintenance is typically very minimal. However, if an issue does arise, it is likely covered under our Triple Ten Guarantee or the manufacturer’s warranty.

What happens if my panels produce more electricity than I use?

Paradise Energy Solutions | Oct 19, 2020
Paradise Energy Solutions | Oct 19, 2020

If your solar panels produce more electricity than you need, the excess electricity will be sent back into the grid and you will receive credit through a process called Net Metering or other similar programs. That credit will be used when your system isn’t producing electricity like at nighttime.

There is not a clear-cut answer to this question without first gathering your electric usage and information from the installation site. The reason being, there are many variables to consider when installing a solar system, including how much electricity you use and need to produce, the type of installation, shading, and more. Click to learn more about the factors that influence the price of a solar system. In most cases, an average monthly electric bill of $160 will need a 10 kW solar system. This will cost roughly $30,600 before incentives and $21,420 after the incentives are used. A $680 average monthly electric bill will need a 50 kW solar system. A 50 kW will cost roughly $112,500 before incentives and $50,952 after all the incentives are used.
