I just reserved my unit. This was at least $50 less than every other area place for a medium unit. As soon as I entered my info (no credit card at first), I got a phone call immediately from the main manager who also lives on-site. She answered all of my questions and gave me two options to finish my reservation. I could do it without being in person. She also explained about the gate closing at 10 pm for in or out (which was good to know!). I asked about price increases and she said it's the set rate for 6 months and then can go up from there. I found it a very easy process with much help from the manager.

I had my unit for a few years and found a lot of bugs in my unit and in some of my boxes after moving out. Starting promotions are great when you first get the unit but rent increases ~15% every year and even if you downside/upside your storage unit, you will not qualify for a cheaper promotion rate if you have ever been a Cubesmart customer. No loyalty reward for staying with them long term. If you don’t get a climate controlled unit, make sure you are using waterproof/insulated material to store items as furniture, clothes, etc will get ruined from the humidity/mold/bugs.

Climate-controlled storage units are temperature controlled. Climate control means that we use reasonable efforts to maintain a temperature in the building where the Cube is located of between 55- and 80-degrees Fahrenheit. This type of environment is ideal for storing furniture, metal, fabric, and other items
Most of our facilities have an electronic gate system that can only be opened by a code that is assigned to each individual tenant.
