Yes any loan companies check credit .

November 2019, I used my credit card to payout my loan in full. But, the loan is showing as delinquent and open on my credit report and is lowering my FICO score. I never got my confirmation letter in the mail.

You need to call or writing the company to give you a confirmation letter and make copy of the letter and send it to all 3 of credit report.
