Beautiful place to do some fishing, very lay back, love the trees n quietness! The only thing that keeps me from give a 5 start is that they now require a ga license for everyone, even if they're visiting, I don't quite understand it but I guess is for the best of the park.

Beautiful park, great for fishing or archery. We renewed our vows here and it was perfect.

the facility is great...it would be five stars but the water level fluctuates A LOT. There's a boat ramp, fishing dock, fish cleaning station, public restrooms. The grounds are always maintained, there is an archery area with an open range and a trail for shooting in the woods. It's nice but they can't seem to keep water in there.

Beautiful spot to soak some lines. Saw lots of panfish coming in, bit want to bring back a kayak to get to what looks like great bass habitat in the warmer months.

Any size as long as it's ran at "no wake speed". I generally run trolling motor only.
Yes all year round
Yes, there is hunting here, bow hunting for deer, turkey, and hog. Shotgun for Dove and Turkey. Some information can be found here: https://georgiawildlife.com/flat-creek-pfa. Other information can be found here: https://georgiawildlife.com/ Study your maps and regs. There are several areas to hunt at flat Creek, and the hunting is good. A little crowded at times but good.
There are some huge crappie in Flat Creek' they can be hard to catch due to the huge amount of bait fish. A man caught a 4.2lb crappie off the dock. It's also loaded with huge Shelcrackers' and is probably one of the best bass lakes in the state. Also hard to catch! I caught 27 bass in less than an hour from 4 to 9lbs. 20 in 20 cast! I ended up catching 27. They were schooled up and I just happened to find them. They run several areators that run most of the time which attract the shad which in turn draw the crappie and bass. The lake also has huge blue cats.
Two pole at all Georgia DNR fishing area.
They have limits posted ar several places, but yes you can keep fish as long as limits arent exceeded
Yes, 24/7 lake. It is over fished so unless you have a boat your probably not going to be catching a lot of fish. There are a few alligators in the lake. ( saw one this last weekend) but not huge and will leave you alone for the most part. Not a bad place to spend some time especially on week days when there are less people.
They changed the rules this year. You can fish around the clock, but you need to be fishing. People just hanging around will be removed.
As stated below you need a fishing license, or a hunting license, or a heritage license for use of the WMA.
Yes. There is a information sign stating so near the lake.
There was a placard
Free access
The parkings nice, its close to the pond, its clean and kept up. Rules are clearly posted and whole place is beautiful.
Nothing
Yes
Do senior citizens require license to fish?
Yes
Yes, though be careful as to the time of year: bird dogs are let loose during the appropriate season. Also, be weary of snakes, coyotes, and bobcats while hiking. Enjoy the hike and the views!
