As a 25 Year old going through Brain Radiation in 2020, I was treated extremely caringly, and the staff was very helpful, quick, and respectful. Dr. Dave is one of the greatest doctors I've dealt with during my entire treatment plan and I am very grateful to her.

The staff was kind. However, Dr Liu explained the Radiation treatment, but did not go as far as to explain the side effects, and did not mention the alternative option. After discussing with a cancer survivor, I choose instead to have a complete removal of the tumor and region containing it. With this option, it was over and done with surgically. No months or weeks of excruciating radiation treatments that scar you for life. I missed out on, Headaches. Hair loss. Nausea. Vomiting. Extreme tiredness (fatigue) Hearing loss. Skin and scalp changes. Trouble with memory and speech.

Questions & Answers

Hello. I am a teenager and interested in working in the medical field when I am older. I’m trying to find a cancer clinic that I could dedicate my free time to by volunteering. And am curious if this clinic accepts 13 year olds as volunteers.

Bonnie, thank you for reaching out and showing interest in the medical field. As much as we would like to have you volunteer with us at Fresno Cancer Center, we have rigorous policies in place during the COVID-19 pandemic that limit our ability to have anyone who is not a staff member or patient visit the center. Please check back in with us this summer. Stay safe and be well! Jesse vanZee Director
