Dual dog park - one side for larger dogs, the other for smaller dogs, each having structures the dogs can climb on or go through. There are shaded rest areas with benches and water fountains that serve both humans and canines. The entrance is double gated to prevent escapees. The large dog side has access to a pond with a small dog beach area. Poop bags and disposal bins are provided. There are paved paths winding through the areas. The park is on a slope that goes down toward the pond with lots of open space for dogs to run.

About 30 yards from parking lot to dog park.
Most of the shoreline is fenced but there is a concrete ramp about 100 ft wide that is open to the water. Access to that area is not restricted so dogs inside the park will be able to go into the water.
When the Park first opened up a paddleboarder fishing late at night slipped and fell on the rocks and died or drowned
Yes
I do not recall it being closed on Holidays.
Yes, catch and release. I'm pretty sure, legally, you're supposed to have a fishing license if you are fishing. I'm not sure if it's enforced though, my guess is no.
Great park on Barker Cypress near Lone Star College. Horsepen Creek. Separate parks for large and small dogs.
