Love the park. Walking and taking the kids to play. My husband loves the fishing there.

It is unknown if and when boating will be allowed, we will make sure to update the park information if there is a change.
Yes also there is more to the park that will be built
We have all these hugh man made lakes and have to drive 2 hours to kayak. This is so unfair. Why can't they allow it, and have people wear life vest.
Tons of keeper catfish right now, everything else is small.
No license needed anywhere in Texas until you're 17.
Yes.. No confetti eggs aloud at all!!!
Yes, the big pavilions with grill you have to reserve and the phone number is available on site. The gazebo without the grill they are first come first serve.
No it's free
I dont think so
Hi! It's not a dedicated bike trail, but you can operate a bicycle on the miles on the paved paths that surround the park. My family and I ride our bikes there atleast twice a week. It's great! The views are nice pretty much anywhere you are in the park. You can't camp overnight, but they have pavilions where you can set up 'camp' for the day. See ya out there👋🏾
Yes it is.
Around 5 miles of trails
No luck at all. Not sure if lake to be stocked again in 2021.
I believe they are I saw a few people there fishing but most were fishing from side
No fishing license required for minors I believe.
They also have the number posted at the park
You can keep the catch but there are limits on most types of fish.
There are covered picnic tables which is 1st come 1st serve. There are also 4 pavilions which have huge barbeque smokers with running water and electricity about 20 picnic tables and those you have to make reservations for
There are several parking areas one of which is about 100 yards from the fishing pier.
Yes you do.
Yes and all size and bag limits apply in all Harris County Parks. https://tpwd.texas.gov/regulations/outdoor-annual/fishing/freshwater-fishing/bag-length-limits
Yes. They have pavilions with barbque pits and picnic tables. I'm not sure if you have to rent the use of the cookers or if you can bring your own grill.
I can't imagine it being a problem, but double check the signs. Also, there's a constable that patrols the whole park on a fourwheeler, so I'd ask him directly.
I posted a picture of the sign that shows the fish stocked in the lake.
No. Closest is Mary Jo Peckham Park.
you can go to paul rushing park across the street, there is a dog park there
No, but Mary Jo Peckham Park will be stocked with rainbow trout on the following dates: 11/30/2018, 12/14/2018, 12/28/2018, 1/11/2019, 1/25/2019, 2/8/2019, 2/22/2019, 3/8/2019
you wouldnt be able to tell they stocked it yet. Too soon.
The Constables patrol the Park. 6am to 10 pm are the hours. There are gates at each entrance of the park.
Went yesterday and tried a couple different bait and not one bite. 😐
yes it is, from 7 am - 10pm
I came across a few guys using chicken livers who were doing good on them.
Yes we are currently under construction for phase two of our park. It includes an environmental education center, an additional park area and a set of bridges and boardwalks to connect the Northside to the Southside of the lake. We are glad you are enjoying the park!!
Yes you need a license to fish at the park.
The park will be open daily from 7am to 10pm
Not yet. It will open Monday April 23.
