Schoodic woods is the best of everything. Close to serene ocean views and ponds, this full campground with well-separated sites is a treasure. Far less loud and busy than the other campgrounds in Acadia, Schoodic woods is an hour long drive from the main part of the park. This is worth it if you’re looking for a peaceful and wooded place to rest up. Definitely book a month or two in advance and come prepared for bugs and heat. Ideal if you have a car to explore, but there is a bus system to help you get around too!

We stayed late June 2022 at A36. Loved staying here. The facilities are super clean and the staff was friendly. We used the bottle refill station at the main building and the water tasted good. Of all the places we visited at Acadia, Schoodic Peninsula was our favorite. We went to Schoodic Point in the evening to watch the high tide waves come crashing on the rocks and the scenery was gorgeous. It was unseasonably warm during our stay and the horse flies were awful but that's just nature and you have to deal. We were glad to camp at this facility though. If you're needing firewood, there's lots of places along the roads near the park to purchase wood from locals on the honor system and leave cash in a box.

Amazing campground. The B loop sites were we stayed are pull through and have electricity and water. The bathroom were clean and the people we interacted were all phenomenal. The camp is quiet and allows for great relaxation. The bus allows you to go and explore the area nicely as well. Would recommend and stay here again.

Loved this campground. Though it is far from the main peninsula of Acadia, it is still in the park, with all of the amenities, except showers(which are not at any of this NP's campgrounds). It is only about 5 years old with large and private pull thru sites with water and electric. About an hr drive to Cadillac mountain or Bar Harbor.

Schoodic Woods had only electric and water at the sites. There is a dumping station ad you depart the camping area. The size is not a problem. There have been 42 footers there. Go to recreation.gov and then Schoodic Woods. There are pictures of the sites and the available facilities.
Typically one RV and one tent is allowed. A total of six people occupying a single site is what is allowed.
It's on the ANP web page.
Both..
They have fill stations on the way out but at the actual site is electric only.
I don't know. I think it was a good size, maybe a little wider than usual.

From what I gathered on my trip there is that there isn't much serious mountain biking there. There are the rail trail type paths. I think around 40 miles worth. As far as single track there isn't much that bikes are allowed
Office hours are listed on the Schoodic Woods NPS site. Varies seasonally. Yes, they sell the Senior Pass.
Not really, there is a tour boat that leaves from the Atlantic Oceanside Hotel in Bar Harbor across the bay, you can take the ferry over there ($30 round trip for the ferry ride).
Don't let no showers stop you from going. We just got back from a week there and it was amazing. It's a ways from the main part of the park but it didn't seem like a bad drive. The ferry was fun too. Great campground
All of the sites at Schoodic are ADA compliant, so there is no problem with reserving ANY site, regardless of disability status.
