When is the library going to be open to go in to get books

Hi Sue, Thank you for your question. The Library is open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 7:00pm and Saturday and Sunday, 10:00am to 3:00pm. You can request books at the desk or request items using our online catalog. Once they are ready, items can be picked up inside the building or through our curbside service. Parking outside of the garage is free after 5 p.m. Parking inside the garage is free for 3 hours, otherwise your charged after that.

Hi there! Yes, the main Library does offer free notary services, and a notary is usually available most hours the Library is open. However, please feel free to call ahead just to be sure before you make the trip. You can reach us at 847-623-2041. No appointments are necessary. Hope that helps!

Does the library still have a used book sale? Is there any that are not accepted like paper backs? We have several series we collected but no longer read.

Yes, the library does still have a used book sale run by the Friends of the Library. All donated materials should be in like-new/sellable condition. Contact the library or the Friends for any specific restrictions.

To get a library card you have to reside in or be a Waukegan resident or you can bring your library card from where you reside presently and you access the Waukegan library with that card
