A bit overgrown and a tree down blocking the road preventing me from using the parking lot. Saw a flock of wild turkey and some deer. I'd go back but walk in first to confirm parking situation to avoid having to back out again.

Very basic state preserve with rough trails down to the creek and throughout the property. Pit toilet building. 🚻 The shelter is cool but pack in your own firewood if you want a fire. No electricity and the road is questionable at best. The area is beautiful and worth a look but don't expect much beyond the natural beauty.

This place is SO beautiful. There are so many rock formations around the area with lots of different ways to climb them. There are so many trees and plants around. The area is also very clean with not much trash around, but it wouldn't hurt to have some trash cans here and there around the park. By the stream there are a bunch of types of rocks that are so pretty. Small fish (assuming trout) are also in the stream. However, if you get into the stream, there are a lot of leeches. There are some drop-offs that could be dangerous for younger kids if you're planning on hiking, but it will probably be fine if you stick to the single trail. Also, make sure to wear decent shoes. Overall, it is so beautiful here, and it has become a spot we will hike often. Highly recommend this place!

One of my favorite places to hike into and escape from it all. Moines Creek in the spring is a spectacular cascade of water over dolomite boulders as big as cars. Autumn is another great time to explore the canyon. There are no maintained trails in the preserve and hiking in and out can take some time. Not a state park as Google says it is a preserve that allows no hunting.

No camping as it is now a preserve with no overnight camping.
