We came here for the Thomas event. It wasn't like the video showed it to be. We had the afternoon train ride slot 3:30pm. There was no Sir Topham Hat, most stations had already left for the day or closed down. Had 3 inflatables trains to take pic with. A 30min train ride looking out windows to the city of Frisco. The only Thomas related even was the long wait to take a pic with Thomas at the front of train. Every other small station of watch TV, scoot on a scooter, and play with wooden Thomas trains was catered to toddlers. My 4yr old did enjoy the train and gift shop. Everything else was sad looking. We were there for 2 hours only. 1 hr and 15min was spent waiting on train.

Expensive for the experience.

Day out with Thomas was more like an hour out with Thomas. So very disappointed. We paid $128 for our family of 5 to wait in line for 20 minutes, be on the train for 25 minutes, go to gift shop, get picture made with Sir Topham Hatt. They got us once but never again. It’s sad why my 3 year was even disappointed. The train weent backwards for a couple miles, then went forward on same route a couple of miles back to station…ha! No entertainment on the train for the kids or anything. This is a big 0! Please don’t waste your time and money.

Yes, they do.
They do not offer a Dinner train year round. There are special events where food is served but I don't think it's a full meal.

That I don't know but you can look it up online or call the railroad station itself but it is well worth the trip lot of fun
Don't know they didn't provide that level of detail.
The open window touring seats are about $12. The first class seats are are conditioned , closed wagon with large windows to look out. and with padded vintage seats that cost $26 per person.
I'd estimate about 15-30 minutes for boarding before departure. So, if it leaves at 3, they probably start boarding at 2:30 - 2:45.
Yes, they mostly operate every weekend.
I've always gotten through with emails.
I am only a patron but they seemed very accommodating with other folks..ai would call them.
North side of the tracks at the little building on a main street
It varies based on weekend/weekday and if it's a special event. They have several months of special events with hours on their website along with their hours.
I think it's around 20. If you go you will enjoy the ride
$2.50 one way. $6.00 for a regional pass (rail and bus included) all day.

I think it was 18.00 each
Drove up at 4:55pm today and it was a ghost town all locked up and no cars in the parking lot. They could have left a voicemail saying they'd closed early today.
No but I think bottles of water are ok but is check to make sure
During special holidays, they have wine trains like for Christmas. But alcohol free otherwise
There is not a New Year's Eve event train, but there is a train on New Year's Eve that will take you to the Fort Worth Stockyards. The train leaves Grapevine at 1pm and arrives in Fort Worth at 2:15pm. It then leaves Fort Worth at 4:15pm and arrives back in Grapevine at 5:45pm. It's the same train used for events, but it won't be decorated. Tickets are $26 or $18 depending on whether or not you want to ride in an open or enclosed train car. If it's a cold day, you will want an enclosed car (those are the ones with heat).
It's is a short, hour long train ride that departs from and arrives back at the stockyards.
