I was involved in a car accident earlier this month. I had Dominic Theilman as the officer who showed up to the scene first. I’m not sure if he’s new or what but the whole time he was asking for help on how to fill out the incident report. There were two witnesses that he spoke to and as all of this is going I’m just siting in the middle of the road in shock. (I was t-boned) I had another officer tell me to get out of the road and go off to the side. I asked what I was supposed to do and they told me to find a ride. They left me on the side of the road, never gave me the incident report, never called me, and kept my license for three days because Theilman was off of work and forgot to give it back . Everyone I spoke to when I called the police department had an attitude and claimed they couldn’t help me.I was finally able to track him down and get my license back and was treated as though I was an inconvenience to him with not even an apology. I asked for the report and info on where my car was towed and he looked at me like I was speaking another language. After all of this I’ve still yet to get the report from the Romeoville police department. My insurance had to reach out to get it and surprise surprise he put no witnesses in the report. This department is a joke. Thank you to those who actually take their job seriously and are to able to do it right and also have just an inkling if compassion.

I've lived in different cities, and I can categorically state that the Romeotucky PD is at the bottom of the law enforcement barrel. They're rude, ineffectual, and corrupt. Clearly, the department standards are low, and their mission is not to protect and serve. Sure, there must be a few good officers who genuinely care about protecting and serving the tax-paying citizens who contribute to their salaries; however, those golden few are anomalies next to their lackluster peers.

An officer named Bedja was called to help us and when she arrived she was so rude and kept insisting that there was nothing she could do because it wasn’t her job . The lady racially profiled me and treated me with disrespect . You would think police officers are there to help you but it’s people like her that can make you lose hope in humanity . She didn’t care to help and she left . It’s better to put your trust in God, Human beings don’t care .

I had a good encounter with officer D. Kemper. The back of her Ford was really roomy, she put the handcuffs on tight enough to detain me but not too tight to cut circulation, and I only got tased once. All in all I'd do it again.
