Very nice contemporary church

We were warmly greeted by the pastor as we entered the sanctuary, and we thought it might prove to be a really good experience. Not. The service was "modern", and the music was really loud (but they have a great drummer!). We stood for a half hour while it blasted away. Then they pulled down a large screen and we watched a pastor on a video, give the message. We have been watching church live stream for over a year...could have stayed home and done that. Upon leaving, we filled out the connection card with all info. I don't know why; we were not contacted by anyone since we dropped the card into the box. Not to mention that after the service, people left without so much as a nod to acknowledge visitors. That includes the pastor, who was talking to a few people in the narthex. He might have nodded or given a little wave as we left. Not favorably impressed. Edit: I will add that we did receive a form letter 1 1/2 weeks after our visit.

This is truly a family kind of congregation. They offered lots of different ministry opportunities as well as help to the community. We truly have found a home church here. God is good!
