My mother if 78 years old and has been heating her home with space heaters for over 4 years. Her water heat furnace quit working and she cant afford to buy a furnace. Newton county community services cant help do you know where my mom can get help.

I'm not sure, they have programs to assist you in different areas, and they are very resourceful so when you call and ask them you never know they just may be able to help you or direct you to someone who can.

If you have Medicaid as your insurance, you most likely have transportation for ANY medical/behavioral appointments. Call the Customer Service line on the back of your card for more information. Also, Regional Health Systems clinics provide their own private transportation when possible.
