Good amount of history is spoken here. The area is nice and the restrooms are clean. There is a dog walking area which neat.

Hands down this was the best rest area I have ever stopped at in my life. Everything was clean and well maintained. They have a playground for kids and it was so far removed from the highway I could hear the cicadas in the trees and didn't have to worry about the safety of my kids. In addition, they have a 0.2 and 0.1 walking trail which was really nice and relaxing to walk on.

I almost never write reviews, especially not about rest stops, but I’ve been traveling across the country and have probably stopped at close to 20 rest stops, and this one is by far the very best. It is really clean and so peaceful. They have an entire park and museum separating you from the highway, so it’s quiet, and there’s a whole nature trail and play area. It’s so freaking nice, I might just stay here again tonight just because I know I’ll have a great sleep.

Wonderful rest area. Very cared for. Very clean & manicured & well thought out place. Not only to rest, but to visit. It has clean restrooms, but also a museum style walking building. There are vending machines, learning stations, a manned information desk, a flag pole with raised flags. The flags are respected. Not shredded or worn. There's a pet area & a playground, too. There's a .03 mile walking trail with lots to hear. It was restful & had a few flowers (coppera) & cacti. There are, of course, trees & fallen leaves. The fallen leaves were a focus because there were noises. After some research I found there were many little crickets. So cute. Lots of them. If I took a step, they took a jump. I played a little while and was able to escape the stress of the road for a while. The whole place is aimed to give us enjoyable & meaningful rest without boring us. I loved it & wish to visit everytime I am passing through.
