Lot of white-washing of local history. Seems more like the chamber of commerce than anything to do with real history with all its warts.

PHS doesn't have any photos or artifacts regarding JFK visit. Joliet paper has a couple articles.

Who owned and operated "ROCKS" grocery - sandwich store in downtown Plainfield and what dates?

Richard Rock. Mr. Rock was born in Rockdale and moved to Plainfield as an adult. He opened Rock's Grocery and Meat Store in May 1961. That store closed in 1989. In 1972, he started Rock's Deli, which closed in 1996
