Know they have some 5e groups that meet. I don't believe they have workshops but I'm sure a DM or player would be willing to help before an event.

Best suggestion is call them. If not you can rent rooms for $5 a person for 4 hours for whatever you want, rpgs mtg, ect.
The store closes because it's a small business run by a family, they use that short break to get other day to day stuff taken care of when they are normally pretty slow.
The store is free to enter. Various events may have admission fees. They will be posted at the event and on the website when they come up.
